THICKNESS ISO 2178
The thickness of the cured powder coating is measured in microns (µ) by measuring the magnetic attraction between the metal panel affected by the presence of the coating and a permanent magnet with a magnetic-type coating thickness gauge. If the panel is within the thickness range specified for the tests, it can be used for other physical and chemical tests.
BRIGHTNESS ISO 2813
Brightness is measured by directing a beam of light at a fixed angle to the test surface and then monitoring the amount of reflected light from the same angle.
IMPACT RESISTANCE ISO 6272-1
With this method, the resistance of the cured film coating to cracking or peeling is evaluated when subjected to a deformation caused by falling under standard conditions a 20 mm diameter spherical indentation from the painted surface.
LASER PARTICLE DISTRIBUTION ISO 8130-13
It is the process of determining the particle distribution of the dye particles, which take the form of powder after the grinding process, with a laser-assisted device. The proportion of each particle size is measured with the laser beam. In addition, values such as the coarsest grain size and the average grain size are also obtained.
COLOR ISO 7724-2
It is the process of determining the difference between the color coordinate of the painted surface of appropriate thickness and the reference color coordinate. The reference plate surface and the plate surface to be measured are read in the color measuring device. Color coordinates and delta differences are detected.
FLUIDITY ISO 8130-5
It is a test for determining the fluidity property of paint/air mixture. This method reflects the application of powder coating at the customer. Its principle is to make a certain amount of powder paint fluid in a container with the help of clean air at atmospheric temperature and pressure. The height of the paint in the container is measured when the air is on and after it is closed, and the fluidity value of the powder paint is calculated in this way.
CROSS CUT ISO 2409
It is the evaluation of the resistance of the painted film against separation from the surface when the paint coating is cut to penetrate the surface with a right-angled lattice pattern.
CONICAL BEND ISO 6860
Evaluation of the resistance of the paint coating to cracking and/or separation from a metal base material when subjected to bending around a conical mandrel under standard conditions.
CRACKING ISO 1520
Evaluate the resistance of the paint coating to cracking and/or separation from a metal substrate when subjected to gradual destruction by precipitation under standard conditions.
PEN HARDNESS ASTM D3363
This test method includes a procedure for the rapid, inexpensive determination of the film hardness of an organic coating on a substrate for lead or pencil tips of known hardness.
BUCHHOLZ HARDNESS ISO 2815
The penetrating length obtained by applying a penetrating test using a Buchholz penetrating tool to a paint coating system applied in a single or multi-coat system is evaluated as an indicator of permanent deformation of the coating.
SURFACE APPEARANCE
Painted surface that is fully cured and with appropriate film thickness is visually inspected; Approval is given if there are no surface defects such as bits, craters, haze, orangeness.
